Anyone out there able to shed some light on: St Christopher's Mother & Babies, 179 Tulse Hill, S.W.2, Lambeth

(specifically circa 1957-1960 period)

In the 1957 Kelly's directory 179 Tulse Hill is listed as the Church Army Girls' Home. In Georgina Stafford's book Where to find adoption records - It calls it St Christopher's Mothers & Babies and mentions Southwark Diocesan Council for WelCare along with the Church Army as being responsible for it.

I have tried writing to all the above .... No records. St Christopher's say they did not have a Mother & Baby Home at 179 Tulse Hill & did not start taking in girls/women until the 1980s. Any information at all would be gratefully received.
