Hi Tina
Have you tried searching in Lincoln for your brother, he may still be in the region, either via social media or an advertisement. Might be worth a try.
You can put your name on the Adoption Contact Register.
The General Register Office maintains an Adoption Contact Register of adopted persons and birth families seeking for a connection. If both parties have applied to the register a link can be created between the two.
An adopted person can add themselves to the register once they are over the age of 18.
A birth relative looking for an adopted person can register. Birth relatives are considered any person relating by blood including half blood, marriage or civil partnerships.
The registration fee for a birth relative is £30 and for an adopted person £15.
Hi, your brother may have put his name on a register somewhere, so you could try the following;
Salvation Army.
adoptionsearchreunion.org.uk
Adoption records: The Adoption contact register - GOV. UK
Adoption reunion register - relatives of adopted adults now able to trace family tree - GOV.UK
Missing you.
UK birth adoption register.
There are many others, and a genealogist could help. Also, DNA testing, and if you can find out his adopted name, the electoral roll. All the best.
